TIPS FOR WINTER:
Winter is a perfect time to start planning your next landscape project. By planning your landscape design in the winter months, you will be more prepared to begin planting when ideal conditions arrive and you may identify new requirements for your landscape.
Take photos and use a copy of a plot plan to identify areas that may need some improvement and areas that you would like to change. While trees and shrubs are dormant, identify areas that you may want to make more appealing with evergreen trees and shrubs. Also, identify areas that may benefit from a privacy screen and or a windbreak during the winter months.
A functional landscape should serve a purpose in every season, so more planning and alteration may arise throughout the year. Just remember, the most important aspect of your landscape is that it is appealing to you. |
